Sending out for Request For Proposals (RFPs), selecting, and getting approval for outside web development contractors can be a long and involved process.
The University of Arizona is pleased to announce it has recently awarded contracts under Request for Proposal (RFP) L171302 to 21 vendors
for Web Development, Design and Mobile Application Development services. Contracted vendors may serve UA colleges, departments, units and programs effective July 1, 2013. The Term of the Agreement is for one year with the option for renewal.
The goal of the contracted vendor list is to help expedite and simplify the vendor engagement process with University colleges and departments. The benefits of using UA contracted vendors for web and mobile development services include:
- Best overall value to the University based on established pricing, delivery capabilities, quality, past performance, training, and financial stability.
- Improved productivity and efficiency of department personnel by eliminating the need to solicit other bids when choosing to utilize a contracted vendor because this activity has already been performed.
- Increased levels of service due to strong vendor commitment to the University.
The contracted vendors were selected as a result of a Request for Proposal (RFP) process. The proposals were evaluated by representatives from the College of Fine Arts, the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, and University Information Technology Services. The evaluation criteria were based on responsiveness to higher education needs, experience, and cost.
