My piece of the puzzle: Deborah is a professional writer serving all units under Client Services. She is also a member of the Communications and Marketing Office. Her primary responsibility is to ensure effective communication for our campus community clients with regard to their technology related needs. Deb takes IT related services content and puts it into simple language for the average reader to understand. Some of her projects include writing for the web, ‘how to’ documentation, instruction manuals, guides, policy and procedure, content for promotional materials, and news stories. Deb also serves as the support administrator for UAnswers, Confluence, and UACBT. Background & Education: Deborah has worked for over 15 years at The University of Arizona. Several of those years were with the Arizona Health Sciences Center, Clinical Research Center under the Department of Surgery and the Liver Research Institute in the Department of Medicine. Her area of focus included program development and coordination. Prior to her current appointment she was the Team Lead for the 24/7 IT Support Center, the Help Desk Administrator for the former UITS Computing and Network Support (CNS) group and the former Learning Technologies Center (LTC) now the Office of Instruction and Assessment (OIA). Deb's professional and academic interests include professional writing and instructional technology. She holds a B.A. in English Literature with a minor in Journalism from the University of Arizona, an M.A. in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix and certification in Professional Writing from the Graduate College at Northern Arizona University. In May 2011 Deb completed her second MA with distinction from Northern Arizona University with a focus on Literacy, Technology and Professional Writing.
