The University of Arizona

35GB storage; 15GB file size; access files from any device at any time; control who can share your files

Box@UA is an online cloud storage and collaboration tool that enables campus users to easily store, access and share files anytime, anywhere, from any device.

Box@UA is a partnership between the University of Arizona and Box to provide free enterprise Box accounts with 50GB of storage to all current faculty, staff, students, and Designated Campus Colleagues (DCCs). Box@UA makes it easy for account holders to upload content, organize files, share links to files, and manage file and folder permissions.

Beyond storage, Box@UA enables faculty and staff to collaborate with colleagues in all new ways: content management services, mobile access to files, online collaboration workspaces, FTP, and general document management. Box offers a high degree of functionality across multiple platforms.

Box and Internet2
As a member of Internet2, the University of Arizona leverages the Internet2 and Box agreement for service terms and conditions specific to the higher education community. In addition, Internet2 has worked with Box to co-develop a customized service offering that integrates with the Internet2 Network and with InCommon to better meet the needs of the Internet2 community.

PLEASE NOTE: Box@UA is secure, and may be used for storing Public and Internal information, and can be used for storing Confidential (e.g., FERPA) information with the proper permissions. However it should not be used for Regulated (e.g., credit card, HIPAA, ITAR) information. The Classification Levels section in the IS-2321 Data Classification Standard gives more complete descriptions of data classification.

Education Account vs. Personal Account: If you have a Box account with a personal email address and get a Box@UA account, remember to check which account you are logged into. (See the UA's Data Classification and Handling Standard for what kinds of files you can store or share in Box@UA.) And be sure you are not using your Box@UA account when you are working on or sharing personal projects.
