Beginning Monday, March 17, all new voicemail account requests submitted to UITS will be created in the new Cisco Unity Connection system. This will be the case for voicemail service being installed with new phone service, as well new voicemail being added to existing phone lines.

Existing campus voicemail accounts continue to be replaced with Unity voicemail accounts on a department-by-department basis.

Microsoft’s support for Windows XP and Office 2003 will be discontinued effective April 8, 2014, which means they will no longer provide new security updates, non-security hotfixes, product updates, free or paid assisted support options, and online technical content updates.

Google has notified the University of Arizona that some CatMail users may have been affected by a recent issue in CatMail that caused some actions users took (e.g. deleting a message, marking it as spam, or moving it to a folder) while viewing a message, to be inadvertently applied to a different message. The issue occurred between January 15 and January 21, 2014.
Only actions users took in CatMail using iOS, in a mobile browser, or using CatMail offline were affected.

The upgrade to university voicemail service from the current Octel system to the new Unity Connection system is underway. All voicemail accounts will be transitioned to the new Unity voicemail system by Friday, September 26, 2014.
