November 2, 2009, University Information Technology Services is implementing CatMail, powered by Google Apps for Education, for all UA students. In addition to student email, students have access to Google's full suite of apps from any computer or mobile device. These include Mail, Google Calendar, Google Talk (chat), Google Docs (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations), Google Sites, Labs, and Google Video.
Faculty and staff will also be able to opt in to CatMail to gain access to Google Apps, but will not have email delivery in CatMail.
Visit the CatMail page for more information on opting in to CatMail and Google Apps.
Access Google Apps in CatMail via the Web with your UA Net ID and password. Each of the Apps is accessible while in another, or log in directly:
• catmail.arizona.edu takes you directly to your Mail.
• catcal.arizona.edu takes you directly to your Calendar.
• catdocs.arizona.edu takes you directly to your Documents.
If you access CatMail through an application or mobile device, use your secondary CatMail password when setting up the application or device.
To access CatMail Mail with an email application (Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, Eudora, etc.) or mobile device, log in to Mail, go to Settings > Forwarding and POP/IMAP, and follow the directions given.
To access CatMail Calendar with a calendar application (Outlook, iCal, Sunbird) or mobile device, log in to Calendar, go to Sync, and follow the directions given.
