Yes. Microsoft charges UITS per email account, but UITS has made the decision to not pass on that charge to departments. We will provide a clear opt-out/opt-in option for DCCs who only require a NetID for campus access, versus DCCs who do need campus email/calendaring, and we will ask departments to proactively confirm each year that they do still require each DCC email account they've requested.

UITS will revisit the decision not to charge for DCC emails periodically to ensure that the cost of DCC email accounts are not burdensome to the institution, but hopes to continue supporting free DCC accounts. 

The primary affiliation (employee) will require they have a UAConnect account.
